[Talk] Ethernet over powerline

Hi all,

Has anyone tried the current crop of ethernet over powerline products?
 This might be the solution I've been looking for.  Basically I'm in a
2-story condo with a DSL connection and wired router in one spot
upstairs.  I'd like to have a second ethernet connection upstairs and
one or two downstairs.

However, running wires is not really practical, and I'd rather avoid
wireless ... thus powerline.

I do wonder if a neighbor could plug in an adapter and join my
network, but hopefully that is not possible.  After all, each unit in
the building gets its own electric bill, so presumably my electrons
are mine and the neighbor's are his.  Is that true?
