i would venture to say of all the things i have done in the last 10 
years, upgrading is tops. seems to be a carousel ride but i never ger 
the golden ring. no sooner do i get everything the way i like it then 
another dirtro comes along with the newest kde or perhaps i simply run 
into something my current distro doesn't do very well and away we go, 
off to the horses.

ps. my cat has learned that if he lays his paw on a key and holds it 
down, _that_ gets my attention. i swear he smiles at me when i turn to 
see what is making that prolonged beep :-)^2
