it really depends on what the spirit of the assignment is. and that is 
on the instructor. either way, he is a dick. good training for all the 
other pricks that one comes across in life. the key is that you have to 
please the instructor so it is up to the student to decipher what the 
true "spirit" of the assignment actually is
