1. On the issue of the fine congressman from MA, my understanding is
that he claimed that the page was over the consent age, and thus no
crime was committed and he left the public to judge his morals.
2. I am less concerned by the actions of one misguided soul, who
obviously has some emotional problems, and more concerned about the
Republican leadership, who pretends to be our moral compass, then
covers up sexual misconduct against minors for the sake of political
gains. And these are the people on whose judgement we rely to protect
our kids in the military, our old, our poor, etc. Shame on them.
3. On a completely different matter (really). I want to purchase a
digital video camera, and ran a search on them. I think one of the
soruces was tiger direct, another was froogle. I got about 20 hits of
mustek and similar no-name brands video cameras for $95-115, using SD
or similar memory. No fancy optics or electronics, of course, but man
the price! I do not want to get another $1000 Sony DV or whatever, and
give it to charity 5 years and one tape later.
So has anyone tried one of these, liked it, or would warn against it?
Do they work well with Linux? I am looking for something cheap and
small, which I can carry on trips and wear out.
Thanks,
Z.
PS Nick, I was turned down by NMBLA. Apparently I did not have enough
moral flexibility for them. Or maybe I was too ugly. What is your
excuse?
