i guess i could have said systems like linux...which is more what i meant...
did they ever get hurd off the ground? seemed like it was floundering. i 
really like the graphics next-step apppearence of BeOS but there just 
wasn't the snow ball effect for software there....i was disappointed 
when i saw it had petered out....i might reinstall it someday just for kicks
i had 5 OSes on my hd one time, win3.11, os/2, beOS, BSD and 
Linux....that was cool
