[Talk] Getting people involved in FLUX/volunteering in general

Perhaps I should have pointed this out before, but the #flux channel
was never exactly part of the FLUX user group.  As I recall, two or
three people came up with the idea but nobody else expressed interest.
 They went ahead and created the channel anyway but FLUX never ran it,
oversaw disputes within (or about) it, or anything like that.

The same is true for this latest episode of taking the channel back.
If a few people want to spend their time and effort over it, more
power to them.  But based on what I've seen, the official group
getting involved would not have made a difference anyway.  It looks
like the deciding factor was that nobody from FLUX used the channel
during the time in question.

It's understandable that some want social engineers punished and so
this was an issue worth fighting for in to some folks, just on
principle.  But as others have stated, there are already established
places on IRC for Linux help.  If a few folks in our group want an IRC
channel to chat in, great.  But does its name really matter enough to
spark arguments over and ruin friendships over?
