it is all ok, grumpydog  yeilded and gave me ops. he moved to 
#fluxradiostaff. really seems like a reasonable person although there is 
something fishy, he claims he lost the password. the freenode staff is 
on there now, although not very vocal. it would be most helpful for 
folks who care enuff to log on there and just hang out if nothing else. 
seems folks log in then log out when they see no action. grumpydog was 
gone for 14 hours when he finnaly came back to me and when i explained 
what was going on he said it made perfect sence to move his staff to 
another channel and was very happy to yeild the channel back to flux.org

now it is only a matter of the staff at freenode to work out a new password
i changed the topic to Florida Linux Users eXchange. i have already 
fielded one question about an install from my sister in toronto
