A little lost on this one.
The only thing that my resolv.conf file has is the ip address of my =
router. I've never touched that file so that must have been done by the =
system.

Subject: RE: [Linux] Postfix help
Hmm my guess is that his 'relayhost' is not the only thing to change if =
he has
gone from one provider to another. If his mailer cannot resolve the =
following:
gold $ host smtp.comcast.net=20
smtp.comcast.net has address 216.148.227.147
smtp.comcast.net has address 63.240.77.77
smtp.comcast.net has address 204.127.192.17
smtp.comcast.net has address 204.127.200.17
smtp.comcast.net has address 204.127.225.17
smtp.comcast.net has address 206.18.177.17
then my guess is that his /etc/resolv.conf needs to update as well to =
point to
his new provider's name servers :^). Also none of the below hostnames =
has an ip
that matches the above ip's:
gold $ host -t mx comcast.net=20
comcast.net mail is handled by 5 gateway-r.comcast.net.
comcast.net mail is handled by 5 gateway-s.comcast.net.
comcast.net mail is handled by 5 gateway-a.comcast.net.
Check resolv.conf and make sure the values there are set to comcast's
nameservers.
