May Topic: Identity Management
Identity management consists of the business processes and
technologies that are used to manage the life cycle of identities
across the business organization. It is concerned with the handling of
user and resource-specific account information their relationship to
business applications and services. Identity management consists of
the processes used to create and delete accounts, manage accounts and
entitlement changes, and track policy compliance.
Solutions in the identity management space attempt to address the
growing administrative challenge of managing account access across a
diverse set of platforms that adhere to centrally defined security
policies. Identity management is at the core of your business. It
affects how you securely interact and build trusted relationships with
your customers, partners, suppliers, and employees.
According to the Meta Group, "Effective management of users' identity,
credential, and access rights must be implemented by organizations,
not as a differentiator but as mandatory security consideration, a
business imperative and a non-negotiable user expectation."
Come to a stimulating session with where you will learn the following:
the concept of identity and the drivers behind identity management solutions
how identity management solutions address new security challenges and
streamline business processes
Sun's portfolio of identity management products
What to expect from an identity management implementation
What a sample identity management project looks like
Some of the pitfalls of identity management implementations
