You have to consider other factors as well. I am actually a good public 
speaker, I used to do it for a living, but now work driving a truck 
across the country (better money). My current occupation doesn't exactly 
allow for setting up the kind of fixed schedules such planned 
presentations (or even attending meetings) requires.
Many people have irregular schedules and simply can't in good conscience 
make commitments to such things
