i knew i liked you kwan:

I would like to start by saying that I am not a starving student or a
starving artist. Well, maybe I should say that I only starve by choice
or forgetfulness (i.e., forgetting to eat because I'm in the middle of
doing something) and not for lack of funds. So if you're on this page
and considering sending something out of pity for my plight, it would be
better to seek out an actual starving student/artist and give them a
buck or two instead. For that matter, it would be more karmically
wholesome if you made a copy of a Linux CD for a friend (or an enemy, if
you want them to be your friend) than it would be to donate so that I
can buy another cup of coffee. Or you could plant some flowers so that
passing children will smile. Or you could call that friend of yours who
you haven't spoken with in months... That is, there are a lot of other
things you can do with your money.
