I just updated my firmware on the above router and was surprised to read that the
update now allows EXT2/EXT3 USB drives to be visible. Sure enough, I formatted and
external USB drive with EXT2 and attached it to the router. Works well, though I'm
still skittish about leaving the externel drive powered up constantly.

CompUSA had these routers on sale for $20 and I picked up a couple of them.
