Happy Purim to all,

I am looking for a SIMPLE image manipulation program - something akin to
macpaint or mspaint. I have GIMP, Imagemagick, XV already installed, but
they are overkill or not quite right.

Here is the requirements:

1. Change image size and type (jpg, gif, png, etc. - nothing fancy).

2. Crop image and cut paste pieces of two or more images. Both geometric
images and freehand (i.e. cut squares, circles or move the mouse around the
irregular shape I want and cut it off). Be able to move the pasted pieces to
the right place.

What I want to do is rather simple - create composite images (pictures) by
taking an image, cutting off the unwanted parts, replacing them with
cut-outs from other pictures, then saving in the desired size and format.

Any recommendation for Linux? Mac OSX?

Z.
