I recommend rdiff-backup to a remote raid ( or two geographically separate
ones as I do ). The most recent backup looks just like a copy, so it is
very easy to restore accidentally deleted stuff. Then it has incremental
data to generate the versions from any previous backup. Plus the backups
themselves are quite efficient, as it only transfers the parts of files
that have changed.
I guess I just volunteered to cover this option. :)
(I'm also in the category of making very careful backups for work, but
being too lazy to back up my stuff at home; aside from all the fansubbed
anime I've burned to cd/dvd. :)
