[Linux] Converting .rm files to .mp3

I guess this would work, but since I already have the file downloaded
locally (wget url/with/.rm/file), I am not sure I need to do it in real
time.  My problem is that I can't put an .rm file on the ipod, so I am stuck
to the computer, where I can play it with either mplayer or real player.

Does mplayer have a input - output conversion command? I checked totem,
realplay and gmplayer, and there was no way to convert (or for that matter
even save) the file.
