I did some searching and found a free solution (using
current Linux components) for 6 simultaneous GUI users
of a single Linux box using 6 video cards and 6 USB
keyboards/mice on a single PC.

At the time of this article, it was unstable but fast
with six users, but newer versions of X.org and the
kernel should solve that.  Perhaps with only two users
the solution would have been stable.
