[Linux] Firefox plugin mplayer problem

I tried to view some of the news.yahoo.com videos
also, and have so far tracked it down to:

mozilla-mplayer_3.40-5/plugins/mplayerplug-in-wmp.so

dated 20070613 (ancient!),

this .so file contains the string:

"video/x-ms-wmp", however,

the Yahoo news clips are looking for plugins
supporting the string:

"application/x-ms-wmp"

video != application.

So it would seem to be an mozilla-mplayer plugin bug
to not advertise it can handle that MIME type if it
actually can.
