i wonder why the disconnect is tied into getting my email. i can make
the bittorrent and all other connections drop by getting my mail.
i can almost bet that after i send this i will have to reboot to get my
connection back. or maybe we are far enough into the week for it not to
happen again until sunday night.

good thing i didn't place that bet. i will have to save this as a draft
and then reboot before i can send it. and if i want to continue doing
the torrent then i will prolly have to not fire up the thunderbird.
