Maybe a stupid question, but:
Azureus can be used as a bit torrent server (I guess the term is 'using the
included tracker to host/publish torrents'). I would like to set it up on a
ubuntu 7.04 server, since I don't want to let people access my workstation
and also don't want the overload. I take it that I would have to install a
version of Java, if the server does not include it in its default packages,
but that should not be a problem.
So: 1. Would I have to install the graphical interface (windows manager and
xserver) to use azureus on a server? I know that simply installing it would
probably give me the dependencies, but I do not want to mess with the server
unnecessarily, as it is running just fine now, thank you.
2. Are there any serious security considerations involved with installing
the above-mentioned GUI?
Thanks,
Z.
