When I do, it is mostly because of the topic to be presented. I also 
like to see some of the people I know.

When I don't, it is because:
Topic of little or no interest
Long drive (from Boca) during the tail end of rush hour.
Presentation room is lousy: Can't see or hear unless you can get a seat 
up front, in the middle. People (rude) hold their own meetings in the 
room which makes it even harder to hear. People (some of whom have no 
interest in the meeting) sit and surf the Internet on the systems around 
you which can be distracting and makes it harder to see the (small) screen.
It is irritating when the presenter does not cover the subject that was 
posted on the site.

I make about 3 or 4 meetings a year.
