When I do, it is mostly because of the topic to be presented. I also
like to see some of the people I know.
When I don't, it is because:
Topic of little or no interest
Long drive (from Boca) during the tail end of rush hour.
Presentation room is lousy: Can't see or hear unless you can get a seat
up front, in the middle. People (rude) hold their own meetings in the
room which makes it even harder to hear. People (some of whom have no
interest in the meeting) sit and surf the Internet on the systems around
you which can be distracting and makes it harder to see the (small) screen.
It is irritating when the presenter does not cover the subject that was
posted on the site.
I make about 3 or 4 meetings a year.

Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?"
Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."
