I just got back from NC a few days ago. :-)
Good luck with cell phone service up there while you are at it. I was in the
Smokey Mountains and Verizon kept crapping out on me on every corner.
Everytime it happened, their slogan popped into my head.... "Verizon, it's
the network".
I was also battling with a blackberry - trying to go on irc -- it didn't work,
but at least I was able to access the WWW via Opera Mobile -- it wasn't
*that* bad.
I know what it is like to have technology just not work with you when you need
to travel.
Good luck, and try IE7 over wine (i know - i know), but if FF isn't working (I
suppose that Konqueror, Opera, and Epiphany are giving the same headaches?).
IE7 at least has tabs. (compared to IE6)
BTW: the weather there is gorgeous -- but it is just as nice here.
Beach weather all weekend so far ;-)
