Linux (The Kernel) is free and has been for years. LINUX makes no money.
RedHat and the other packages built around Linux may go under however the
Kernel and the OS will still be here. Linux started out in 1989 was free
then and is still free today. How do you go bankrupt when you dont sell the
product?

On you second point the NON Monopoly M$ knocked all other os's out of the
market thru deceptive Bus practices and now that there is no others out
there. You will be asked to pay for a subscriton fee. Hummmm only 100$ per
year, per PC. Now I have 500 pcs at my company and want a subscrition. You
do the math. Or I have a state wide network with 5,000,000 pc's. At the
rate of 100 a pop?

First is WTF = What the F_ck ?

Second isn't "Netiquette" = network etiquette ?
So what does that have to do with if linux will go bankrupt or not?

Going to the source question though, linux redhat as a company or any of
these flavors may go bankrupt, but the linux community won't let it fall
into a big black hole.

Secondly there would be many people who may not beleive in paying for
software or an OS, that would probably be willing to say, I will pay a
base ( low ) subscription fee of sorts to use it on all of my systems
within an office / home etc.
Lets say that maybe it's $100 a year or something. Afterall many people
go out and pay $40-$100 to buy a CD and manual when they can download
the OS and print the manuals.....

I think there are many ways for linux to survive, and many creative
people who will help it to do so.....

But hey that's my opinion...
