[Linux] oops! kernel panic'd

It never ceases to amaze me that people swear by RHAT, and yet they have
these really weird problems. I have NEVER EVER (since using Linux since '92)
had the below mentioned problem with SuSE, Debian, Caldera and even FreeBSD
or OpenBSD - and some of the others. RHAT is good at one thing, like MS,
they excell at marketing a mediocre product.
Try downloading a boot diskette from another distro (Slackware even!) or use
one of the mini distros like Tom Ohshers' Root Boot.

It's a complete Linux distribution on one floppy and great for
troubleshooting.
