Hi everybody,
I have two machines. one is a 486 <14k modem>and the other is a
pentium<56k>. The pentium was outfitted with a Speedstream 3060 and
connects to fast access BS DSL. Ever since I connected this way, I have
not been able to dial in either with the pentium or the 486. Both say
the modem is hanging up error = 16 immediately after the connection is
made. What could cause this. I did nothing to the 486 <14k> while
connecting the pentium so there must be some sort of change at BS or
some sort of problem caused by the new PPPoE connection. The pentium
also has the same problem with its' 56k modem. Hasn't anybody else
experienced this behavior?
ppp died error = 16 --modem hanged up
