Coordinator of Computer Applications at the Counseling and Psychological 
Services Center of Florida International University in Miami. Please

Coordinates and supports the computer networks across University Park 
(UP) and Biscayne Bay Campuses (BBC) Counseling & Psychological Services 
(CPSC). Assists with designing, building, documenting and maintaining 
the office's systems and data structures.
Manages and supports servers and workstation computers for the 
Counseling Center. Coordinates activities to determine information 
system requirements, including specifying hardware and software, 
recommend policies and procedures.
Installs and upgrades hardware and software.
Provides research support for activities of the Center by assisting with 
extracting data from a variety of systems and sources; by setting up 
systems for data entry, capture, or processing; and by programming if 
needed.
Assists in the continuing development of the Center's web presence.
Works collaboratively with other CPDC IT support staff members to 
promote quality-oriented products and services.
Coordinates, determines, and analyses information systems requirements 
for Counseling & Psychological Services. Develops and recommends 
solutions to problems and circumstances relating to those activities. 
Provides websites support for various web sources including analyzing 
and modifying program components to increase efficiency and adapt to new 
system requirements.
Interprets university and departmental policies, procedures and 
guidelines to determine and implement new and improved procedures to 
effectively manage the assigned area of responsibility for the efficient 
functioning of the Center information systems.
Provides assistance to other offices as needed.
Performs other related duties as required or as directed. The omission 
of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning 
duties that are logically related to the position.  
Minimum Qualifications 	Master's degree in an appropriate area of 
specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of 
specialization and two years of appropriate experience.  
Desired Qualifications 	Experienced in the development and maintenance 
of distributed computer networks.
Have a through working knowledge of network security and confidential 
data processing.
Preferred if certified in any of these: Linux/Unix administration 
skills, Network security including VPN and Firewalls, Windows 2003 
server/active directory, MS SQL 2000/MYSQL, Web design skills including 
PHP, Java and CMS, Data Management, and Programming experience a plus.
Have working knowledge of web design.
