TITLE:
C++ programmer

JOB LENGTH:
3-6+ months, must be on site (no remote work)

POSITION TYPE:
Contract only

SKILLS:
C++, GNU, porting, operating systems would be great if the candidate had a
background in Unix, Linux, AS/400, OS/400

JOB DESCRIPTION:

C++. You know it well, and we have an opportunity to use that talent!

We have a software package that needs to be ported to several different
platforms, mostly versions of Unix and Linux.

What we need is a strong C++ generalist who can hit the ground running. Each
port will vary in complexity and should take between 1-4 weeks.
You will be given access to all the tools you need. If you need something to
do the job and we do not have it, we will get it.

Our product encrypts critical data on networks, from applications to
databases. You'll need to have some understanding of encryption

Ideally, you have exposure to a lot of operating systems. We are not
expecting you to know every little thing, but you should be able to figure
it out quickly and efficiently.

Here's the details:

-you have strong C++ development skills.
-You have good general knowledge of many operating systems, including
flavors if Unix and Linux (OS/400 experience gets you major bonus points)

-Development work will be done using GNU tools, and you can create a
Makefiles.
-knowledge of security and/or encryption, as the product deals with this.

-A plus if you have build & configuration management experience.
