Hi all,
This is NOT an announcement for a FLUX meeting. Rather it's an announcement
for another group's meeting, ACM SIGGRAPH Fort Lauderdale chapter. They
have an expert coming to talk about an Open Source software package called
Blender, which runs on Linux as well as on other platforms.
Blender is used for 3D graphics by professionals as well as amateurs. The
guest speaker is Sean Novak, who is described as a 3D Artist and Blender
Guru, so we'll probably see some interesting examples of his work.
DATE: Wednesday July 11, 2007
TIME: 5:30pm refreshments, presentation starts at 6:00pm
LOCATION: Citrix Systems, 851 W. Cypress Creek Road, Fort Lauderdale, 33309
IMPORTANT STUFF:
1. SIGGRAPH meetings are not free. However they have generously offered to
give FLUX members a discount. Admission will be $5, which is the same as
SIGGRAPH chapter members pay. Otherwise it would be $10.
2. RSVP is requested! Please see the chapter's website for the e-mail
address...
