Glad to see there's still interest.
Adam, I had no bounce or indication of any mail error with the exception
that the email simply didn't show up on the list.
Mike, I forgot to check my personal email for poll results. Below is a
copy of your email for the rest of the list's reference. As far as you
being out of town often, I don't see that as being an issue at all. If
we all use the same text, you can still be with the group.
I'm going to re-post the poll in a separate email. I'll also post links
to the exam objectives. If it's okay with everyone else, I'd like to
extend the dates one more week.
Thanks,
Larry
Hi Larry,
I sent a post to the list about a half hour ago. I thought the list
wasn't moderated. I'd have thought the message would have appeared by
now.
At any rate, regarding the polls:
I'm interested in a generic certification such as Linux+ or the LPI.
There's a new edition of an O'Reilly book, "LPI Certification in a
Nutshell" (last edition published in 2001), coming out on June 1.
That's a bit late for us so maybe the LPI should be skipped: textbook
changes are driven by changes in the test.
I live in Fort Lauderdale.
I don't care where we meet.
I'm out of town on business about one week in four, though this month
has been particularly bad: I was gone last week and leaving again next
week. I'm home every weekend so weekends are generally good for me.
I'm open to evening meetings, though Tuesday and Saturday nights are
out for me. I like to be in bed by 10:30PM. I think meetings on work
nights should last no more than 1.5 hours.
