Well gentlemen, we've finally finished the book and I know we all
learned a few things from it and each other. It was a pleasure studying
with you all.
So what's next? As for me, I'll be taking the next four weeks to review
everything, make a study guide, and prepare for the exam. At the same
time, I'll be preparing a presentation for flux about the Linux+
certification if Adams approves (Adam, please comment). Once I pass the
exam, I'll present.
There's been talk of the RHCE cert being next on the list. I encourage
you all to go forward with that although I won't be a part of it. As
you know, my gig is PHP, the Linux+ cert is to supplement my web
development skills.
I also mentioned continuing this style of learning as an offshoot to the
flux meetings. These supplementary meetings or 'tracks' would be very
much like our study group but focus on different aspects of linux/foss
related topics. For example, MySQL, Apache, Asterisk, etc...
My next professional goal is the MySQL 5 certification. I had already
started studying for this when we started this group. If anyone else is
interested, please let me know.
Take care and it was a pleasure sharing this accomplishment with you.
